At the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
I never met my uncle Dave; he disappeared one winter's night on a bombing raid over Berlin. Until recently, that was all Eileen and I knew but after research on the Internet and with help from interested people, we discovered more and have built up a better picture of what happened to him and to so many other airmen on the night of the 24/25 March.
We've also tried to discover more about his life in the RAF from the few things he left behind and from traces in official records.
